(Request) Free Roam Mod
Guys/Gals, can I just fight the war and earn my medals on my own merit? I hate the timer on the campaign missions, I rush around the map and cant enjoy a simple seek and destroy mission. I'm ok with a couple missions here and there...something like, oh I don't know, a g'damn patrol order? Maybe protect a sector? Escort lane? Something open ended where I can create the action.
Is it possible the war goes on without the entire free world's fate resting solely on me? Can I just go out there and sink as much tonnage as possible and hope NATO wins? Or retire...what ever comes first -_- Thanks in advance! |
welcome aboard!

automated greetings aside......
I actually like this idea. :salute: |
It can be done. Just create a new campaign with like 3 missions. Make each mission such that they have very long time windows.

If you already have a mod installed, I would just copy the campaign missions folder (for the campaign you want to change) from the default folder over to the override campaign folder.
Then edit the "PatrolForHours=12,24" such that the both numbers are really big (in each mission file). Should take about 15 mins to make those changes. I think those numbers are a range (i.e. from 12 to 24 hours). So a valid change would be "PatrolForHours=1200,2400". I would avoid "2400,1200" as that might cause an error. |
Ok I have created a free roam mod.
How do I post it to the Mod section? |
