Sunken Ship Markers

Hi folks, are the markers supposed to be persistent?
Sometimes they are still there after reloading a manual save during a different play session, and sometimes I've sunk ships (confirmed in captains log) and they don't show up at all in same session.

Nah, the markers sometimes disappear, sometimes they don't.
My SH5 - modded or not modded - behaves that way.

Exact same issue here. Doesnt seem to cause any problems. Wish there was a button to turn on/ off and see the carnage I have caused since Sept 1! :)
