SH3 Uplay or steam?

Hello Lads,

Im thinking of buying SH3, but im not sure if i should do it through steam or uplay?

steam has 50% sale :D
but does it support all the cool content?

i bought SH5 in steam, but there are so many problems, specially with TDW patcher

i am also running windows 10, does SH3 work well in W10?
or will i have alot of problems just because of that?

Br.

Jelkan

PS. i already own SH4..(steam)

SH5 seems to be the only one that has problems with Steam. You say you have SH4 that way. How does it work? Personally, I buy everything on disc, but that's just me.

Yes, SH3 works just fine with Windows 10.

I hate discs :P

i prefer having a digital copy so i can lose the game if the company in question goes bankrupt ;)

Never had any problems with SH4 in steam, probably because its not trying to run uplay through steam like SH5

Hi Jelkan
Steam downloads to the restrictive Program Files (x86) directory.
This can cause problems if you want to run games like LSH3-2015 as it is not compatible with Steam.
There is a Steam conversion that works well.
This will remove your game from the restrictive directory to where you wish to place it.
Once this is done you can make a copy of it.
Steam SH3 and SH4 are ok as there are easy conversion instructions.
Steam for SH5 is not compatible with an essential application without a more involved conversion process.
Uplay and SH5 is compatible.
Another problem with downloads especially SH4, you do not get the latest game version so there is an additional expense of having to buy the U-Boat Missions add on.
When you buy a dvd game version of SH you actually own something, and re-installing is easy.
