WoS cross over campaign bug
 

Hi im on patrol and at the end of the coastal waters campaign, I keep getting the error message coming up saying campaign/flotilla failed to initialize, save game and exit to main menu and reload inorder to solve issue. I have consulted the forum on the bug and done both "fixes" change osi priority and the other one cant remember what it was. How do I fix and change over to the next campaign?

6/6/40, just reloaded an old save after saying to save every 24/26hrs to "fix the problem" I now have a message saying cease all opperations and dock at home port but not beofore 7/6/40 im a day away from home so il dock mid day on the 7th, also says if campaign/flotilla transfer isnt initiated then save and consult TWos, so atm im heading home.

Did you use TWoS Campaign Advance Verifier Testing optional addon?

TBH I just installed the mod and ran the simulation, I dont know what that is lol and dont know if its automatically run or if it is or isnt running lol.


I did mess around with loading and saving after I posted 1st post, when I docked map layout colours were the same, no missions on the map, but home base had changed to west france lorient but wat still red, i didnt start a lonewolf patrol, but I did a reload of the entering base and did a lonewolf patrol the base was still same the map had changed all france was blue but home base wasnt lorient. I have reloaded an old save, going to dock, check map if base has changed then set out and dock at new base lol if it still works

Nevermind...Just do what your BdU messages have said you to do and when you end patrol in bunker, save the game and read (carefully) Alternative Campaign Progression.pdf found in your TWoS documentation folder.

I haved tried that but the cheat silentotto doesnt work.

It works...Just type "silentotto" while watching at campaign selection screen...

:k_confused: Well, I dont know whats going on, I changed some files, swapped them back altered them again, had no joy on getting my renown transferred over nor crew skill points, though I managed to start the 2nd campaign. Unhappy on starting again from nothing I decided to start allover again to sort out can copy over the save game files. on reloading the original save where I had docked to copy the files over the campaign some how ended as it should have now im on the 2nd campaign with all my and crew points.

The instructions said on what save game files to copy over but inspecting my sh5 folder I have 2 different save game folders they are :- SH5/data/users/"in my name" folder with campaign 2017-xx-xx_xxxx
and the other folder is SH5/data/cfg/savegames and 4 folders 0000000 all ending in 0 to 4, in those folders are 1 folder the same as what is in the other users folder. And a load of cfg,dat files.

the only files I had changed were in the users folder. I copied the entire folder and deleted all entries.

After starting the 2nd campaign with my prev stats I deleted all my save games and just saved it as 1 save. On checking the folder again its still empty, so I dont know where the save went to :(, the whole thing has given me a headache lol.

I told you to read carefully...:03: Did I mention anywhere the "Users" folder?

:Kaleun_Salute: lol yea also I said it was giving me a headache rofl, I was also reading another post of save game folder so got em mixed up :k_confused:.

Have you managed to "untangle" it? :)

I left it as it is as somehow the original save to copy over the file to the next save for the campaign worked when I loaded it, the crossover did its thing lol. I am still commanding the same boat, and dont have an upgrade, also there is no option to be asked for a new boat, the conversations from the crew are saying how they like the new boat lol, so I guess I missed something?
