Silent Hunter 4 Mega Mod of Choice?
 

Ok, I've been away for a long time, recently returned and been playing TWOS in SH5 but got a hankering to play some pacific theater and sail for the US. So I loaded up SH4 and went looking for the latest and greatest Mega Mod and others to load up with it.

So here is the question. What's the 'Best thing going' for SH4?

Not as silly as it may seem. Seems best for SH3 is GWX, for SH5 it's TWOS. When I last was here for SH4 it was Trigger Maru, but I'm not sure if that has changed or not, since development on it seems to have stopped.

Just for an FYI I do have the U-Boat Missions addon so I can run anything depending on 1.5 of SH4.

There are 2 mega mods I would highly recommend GFO and FOTRSU
I have both games playing currently.
GFO at the bottom end of difficulty.
FOTRSU at the higher difficulty level.

GFO is Game Fixes Only by Webster and is a mega mod based on the stock game with the stock bugs removed.
It has an in depth manual where it shows you how to add other mods major mods by using a GFO patch to be compatible.
Very under estimated game version and very enjoyable to play.

There are a few really great mods available, but personally I've always preferred Real Fleet Boat v2.0 with Run Silent, Run Deep v575. Still working a campaign even today.

Also added in the AI Sen-Toku and Merchant Razzle-Dazzle for a bit of seasoning.
