Damage or a Little Sandblasting?

Hi Subsim Folks!

Had Silent Hunter III a few weeks now (loving it) but have had many problems with mod compatibility (win 7, Steam version) and run into something I can't figure out.

Vanilla and modded deck gun damage looks unlike damage more like sandblasting or a little smoke damage when images from mods and vanilla SH3 look more like holes.

Any ideas?

Images are with mods and without any mods, fresh install.

Most supermods incorporate the damage graphics. It makes them look better. But if you look through the downloads there are damage mods that improve this.

Maybe try this :

Oi! :Kaleun_Salute: Thanks for the replies.

I think you're misunderstanding the issue bstanko6. I've been using GWX3.0 with damage texture 1.0.

Image represents from top left clockwise.
1. GWX3.0 with damage texture 1.0 (damage texture is obviously not applied correctly)
2. GWX3.0 with no damage mod.
3. Vanilla SH3 (validated) with damage texture 1.0
4. Vanilla SH3 with no damage mod.

Damage texture 1.0: http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/downloads.php?do=file&id=5047

It's like the damage texture is not being applied correctly, no depth, like transparent...

Thanks Kendras. Looks interesting, may get down to some more testing today and will give that mod a whirl.

Edit: It seems the damage image 'Damage_metal_a.tga' is not being applied correctly or at all. Torpedo damage seems fine.
