Question: Hihg Res skins for US-Submarines
 

Hello,

after a long time i installes Silent Hunter 4 again.


I want to play the original campaign US-Subs against japan. No german campaign and no modern nuclear subs.


So i installed SH4 with the U-Boat missions addon (only because of the 1.5 patch)


Additionally i installes the public beta of Fall of the Rising Sun Ultimate Edition Mod


Everythings fine so far.


But I am missing the high res skins for the US submarines, i had once.
unfortunately my old PC had an hard drive crash and all the mods i loaded once are lost. I have to load them one by one again...


I think i got an great modpack with fall of the raising sun.
Just the high res skins for all US Subclasses are missing.


i can´t find them. maybe anyone can help me ?

A lot of skins on the site here are at

which is under the Downloads / SH4 / Graphics Mods / Skins folders. I'm not sure if what you're looking for is there. If I'm not mistaken, some of the skins you're talking of were included in that "actioin reporting" mod, where you got the little "kill flags", and part of that is still findable... I just can't remember off the top of my head how I found it last time, but if it bubbles to the surface again, I'll revise here... or maybe someone else has better communication with their memory banks than I do... :D - where's cdrsubron7?...


Edit: Wow... I surprise myself sometimes... :har: :doh: I did a search on "silent hunter 4 kill flags", and found it almost right away...

http://battleflags.us/submarines/ is a list of the boat classes, and the subs and skins are underneath those...

sqk7744 "mirrored" the original site at http://battleflags.us/ back on February 23, 2014, so be sure and say a ~really~ LOUD "Thank You sqk7744!", and get 'em while you can... I'm not sure though if you'll run into any compatibility issues with FotRSU or not, but I can't imagine that you would with a skin...

But i don't wanted kill flags.

But i found what i was searching for. The high res skins were on a cd in my collection as a part of one early big mod for SH4.

I know that they were here in the database once. But it seems actually not more.

As i said i found them as a part of a bigger mod. I copied only the skins into my actually beta version of fotrs version and now it's fine.

But anyway thank you for trying to help.

The kill flags are one thing on the site, but there are skins on there also... quite a few, in fact.

I recently got back into playing and needed these skins for my clean install. I think I found them here if anyone's interested.
