How to change this.

I would like to make it so can operate out of Pearl Harbor beyond what is mandated in RSRD. I forget how to do this, once had it set up.Anyone care to inform me?

Also, using nbjackson's excellent map makeover mod 2.1 which includes sub base at pearl harbor. how would I make it so can start out at the sub base ? Help appreciated, trying to get my install just right again.

In the Flotillas.upc file in Data / UPCData / UPCCampaignData folder, you'll find the Sub Bases listed like:

[Flotilla 5]
ID= SamahSubFleet
NameDisplayable= Samah Naval Anchorage
AvailabilityInterval=NULL, NULL

[Flotilla 5.Base 1]
ID= Samah
NameDisplayable= Samah Naval Base
ExternalBaseName=JP_Samah_NB
AvailabilityInterval= NULL, NULL
DepartureDescription1= 13162757, 2186853, 315 <--- location for start
DepartureDescription2= 13162656, 2186745, 315
<--- location for start
; Enum of available points, choose one randomly each time a patrol is started
DepartureDescriptionOut1= 13149604, 2134413, 215
<--- location for start
; Enum of starting points for when the player selects the option to start outside the base

This is a snippet of the forthcoming "Climb Mount Niitaka" from keltos01 and Peabody, and I just happened to have it open after sending keltos01 a PM, so what a co-incidence, eh?

The "DepartureDescription" lines, whether 1, 2 and Out1 (2, 3 or whatever of each) are what determines the coordinates of where your boat spawns. You find those in the Mission Editor, with the bottom info panel visible, and holding your mouse (a left-click is sometimes required) cursor over the desired location, which would be approximately the center of a vessel... The first 8-digit number is the longitude, the next with 7-digits, is the latitude, and the third is the boat's heading in degrees, 0-359...

As far as operating out of Pearl "beyond what is mandated in RSRD", are you wanting to go out early? If so, there is an early start mod from a while back, but for stock, if I'm remembering it correctly. It should be possible to "merge" it into RSRDC, so long as you pay attention to the details. It does have a Pre-Attack Pearl Harbor, which is a separate file loaded by Campaign.cfg. You can change your boat's start dates in the CareerStart.upc file, found in the same directory as that Flotillas.upc file above... Have fun, and as always: BACK-UP THE FILES ~BEFORE~ EDITING THEM... Any slight mistake, and the computer CTDs on you, with no error messages, leaving you wonder what you did wrong... I changed so much in one fell-swoop... So keep your edits small...
