Stuck with Type VIIA no option to upgrade (No tonnage bar)
 

Hey!

I think I am having a problem in regards to not getting a new offer for submarine. I am now in September 1940 and onto the next campaign and still have the Type VIIA.

I have sunk close to 500k tonnes, including a capital ship and numerous tankers. I tried to edit careertrack.upc, but don't 100% understand what goes into giving a new U boat. I could start a new campaign, but I want to continue where I am at,

any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

In Happy Times you must get the VIIB U-boot :hmmm:

I am using the TWOS mod and there the upgrades of your boot works perfectly.

Neutral kills? Skipping patrols? Check your current rating with KSD Commander...

& I installed KsD and it says that I have -3 haha :(

I did skip some patrols and apparently in the first mission I killed neutral ships.

Is there a 'cheat' that I can do to edit my rating, I want to keep the same commander, don't really want to restart or does anyone know the way to get good rating points?

One thing that is interesting is it says on KsD that I am in command of a type VIIC but I definitely have the A variant.

Ok I found out how to change rating, and it verifies in KsD. Basically I edited an entry of one of my patrols in careertrack.upc (Both of the files) and made my rating to 14! I than tried to go back in game and started a new patrol and instantly ended it and it took away 1 rating point leaving me with 13, but still no sub offer.

I am still stuck with the VIIA :( I am going to try edit some files to see if I can get a VIIB or C or I am going to go on another patrol and see if I can score another point to maybe trigger it. Otherwise maybe that isn't what controls the new submarine??
