Russian PsychOps

Fake News as a tool of war - practiced by Russian GRU.

https://themoscowtimes.com/articles/...ions-101-57301

One wonders whether this "leak" maybe is part of an ongoing psychops itself...

Quote:

In the past people were able to influence each other only through direct contact,” the textbook reads.

“Today, the means of influencing the human mind have become much more sophisticated, thanks to the accumulated knowledge of thousands of years, information technologies, communication, and management. “The Russian military already has psychological operations units, but they are all useless. It’s the GRU that does all the real information war.”
The German troops send to Lithuania recently, already hgot a taste. On arrival , rumours were spread that BW-soldiers had raped a Lithuanian girl. Earlier last year the Russians claimed a Russian girl had been raped by migrants in Germany. Both accusations were proven to be wrong. But especially in Russia many people still believe in the truth of especially the latter event. Can somebody now "leak" the American pendant instruction manual, please. :) It probably comes in the form of a comic!?

Now, lets read Skybird's post critically. What do we see?

Quote:

“The Russian military already has psychological operations units, but they are all useless. It’s the GRU that does all the real information war.”
This quote illustrates the material collected by Skybird well. As any intelligent reader knows (or could trivially find out) GRU is a part of the military. This blunder by a more respected subject matter expert - Kofman illustrates the poor quality of the Russia related analysis in the West, which deteriorated rapidly with the fall of the Soviet Union.

There are many others in those articles (for example in that same article - the secret GRU manual was printed in a foreighn country), but then they are not really worth reading as they lack any valuable information.

Bad quality of analysis breeds misunderstanding. If I may quote one Russian thinktank in regards to the recent security conference in Munich:
Quote:

Восприятие ими речи С. Лаврова (как и речи Д. Медведева в 2016 г.) свидетельствует о том, что уровень стереотипизации / демонизации высшего российского руководства остается на высоком уровне.
Quote:

Theire reception of Lavrov's speech (just like their reception of Medvedev's speech in 2016) shows that the level of stereotypisation/demonisation of the top Russian leadership remains high.

I see you are distractive as always.

Another of those psychop tactics, btw.

I criticised your materials, not your character.

What next, would you call me a GRU troll?

Skybird 03-03-17 07:18 PM

More of the same.

Chekist, good lord, do they still use that term? I guess perhaps it's making a comeback, like the term 'cuck' which seems quite popular these days. It's true what they say, you wait long enough and everything comes back into fashion.

Wow, Russia engages in PysOps?

I gotta sit down for this breaking news. This is quite the shock.

Skybird 03-05-17 09:57 AM

The shock lies more in that operation manuals get leaked and published.

Nobody would be surprised to learn about evidence that Israel has nukes. To find construction blueprints and operational details as booklets in the sunday newspaper edition would be very well a shock.

Did you see the manuals? Did you verify the authenticity of the materials?

If you did not then on what basis do you make that statement?
