Sound Problem
Ahoy, mates!
Got a question. I am running sort of a mod soup. Lol. I have currently active in Jonesoft Mod Enabler: GWX 3.0 GWX 16km Atmosphere GWX Main Movie Das Boot GWX Merged Campaign GWX No Medals on Crew GWX Open Hatch Mod OLC GUI 1.2.7 Core Files Rbs1 SH4 Effects GWX 30 71 Rbs10 enhancedoilexplosion Lifeboats&Debris v4 GWX Ships bouyance and draught mod Das Boot Chlothes (Thank you Sailor Steve!!! Awesome!!) No Rank on Crew SH5 Water for SH3 16km v84 SH5 Water alternate fog Double Mast tool GWX VIIC41 Player Sub In that order As you can tell I'm a stickler for eye candy. Lol. Explosions are beautiful. Graphics are beautiful. Environment is awesome. However, all the little extra explosions and such cannot be heard!! I can hear the torpedoes impact. I can hear the initial explosions when the ship is sinking (She's going down!) But any extra fireballs or anything like that... no sound. Any ideas? Running Intel Badaxe II mobo (that's motherboard, not maneuvering board, sailors!) Intel Core II Duo processor Nvidia GTX 260 GPU Oh and also using SHIII Commander Problem Solved. I reorganized my mods and also removed Rbs10enhancedoilexplosion. That seemed to do the trick! Now I can enjoy the sounds of victory (or at least somewhat victory... I mean... Let's not kid ourselves... No matter how successful we are as U-boat commanders we all know how the war turned out for Germany...) |
I don't use GWX anymore but I notice you are using the enhanced oil explosion. These sound mods write over your existing sounds. It
May contribute to your problem. I manually replace sound files in the actual sound file of my SH3. This allows me to get the sound I want regardless the mod I use. I suggest staying away from sound mod write overs and place them manually inside your game. Sailor Steve had a sound mod and I manually placed them into the game file. Never had a sound problem. I have been using it for Many years. |
