FRENCH RICHELIEU-CLASS BATTLESHIPS
With all respects to the community I'm glad to propose a conversion of Karle94's playable BB Richelieu for SH4 as AI unit for SH3.
http://imageshack.com/a/img924/5808/Fn53t6.jpg http://imageshack.com/a/img923/6438/mnTZyk.jpg Thanks to Karle94 for original model of the ship and to Isinchievici for French guns library for this unit. Special thanks to VonDos for his help with testing of BBRichelieu when I faced problems with stability of my computer. d\l link: http://www.mediafire.com/file/lcjko0...BRichelieu.zip Best regards, Stefan |
Thank you very much for the conversion, happy that you finally managed to do it !

There is a beautiful model here : I already made a proposal about it : http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/show...2&postcount=28 |
Thank You very much for good words. To be frank I have already started work with BB KGV. It is not based on the model of SH5. I use model of Karle94 as basic.
But the release will be not soon due to the same reasons like in case with BB Richelieu. Quote:

Very good!!! 😀

Another good conversion, well done Stefan, but how I wish to see those beauties AO-mapped! :D
If the original models had been released as SHIV units, they should have an ambient occlusion map already... :hmmm: |
Dear Mr. Gap,
This is original mod of Karle94. http://www.mediafire.com/file/gz6fs5...elieu_V1.1.rar Unfortunately it is all what I had starting conversion. In fact reworked dat. file from the old mod is used. Sim.file is used partially. All other files are new. Quote:

BB Richelieu is released. Please see the post #1.

Very nice unit mate! In my old and in my new PC  Thanks! :salute: |
Yes, I agree, even if she's not as detailed as the Strasbourg class battleship. Good job.

Mmh, it seems there is a problem about the size of the ship. I've created a single mission to compare the Richelieu with the Dunkerque :
http://i.imgur.com/rkhDGXk.png In reality (Richelieu=248 meters --- Dunkerque=214 meters) : http://i.imgur.com/xWYMkzm.gif http://i.imgur.com/XZ2HyN5.png |
Here is a highly detailed model of the Richelieu battleship, but it is not free ... :(

Dear Mr. Kendras,
Pls compare this BB Richelieu (248 m) with BB Bismark (251m) from SH3... Stefan Quote:

I propose to remain BB Dunkerque as she is. She is very beautiful. It is one of the best models of Gerome 73 ever made as for me. But it is my opinion only. :Kaleun_Salute:

Hello,
at the time when Gerome73 made the NBB Strasbourg, the biggest problem with creating new ships was to do the damage files (no easy-to-work-with-S3Ditor). Therefore, damage files of existing models where adopted, which means the models where scaled to that size. The Strasboug uses the damage file of the NBB Bismarck, thus, the model is of the size of the Bismarck. Another exanple is NCA Zara, whichis scaled up to the size of NCA Hipper. In case of the County classes, the damage files of NBB Revenge was used, which explains problems with sinking those cruisers. Probably, some peoples noticed when I presented pictures of NDD Malin, NBB Strasbourg was about the right size. That's because I re-scaled the model (also I re-equipped her). Here's that re-scaled model, with all items required. Note, the files are only tested for my own private SH3 setup, which differes much from most big mods. The model, therefore, may not work perfectly in other mod soups. So, use at own risk: http://www.mediafire.com/file/3lebaw...urg_revised.7z Cheers |
