A little boy's dream: coolest lego setup ever!
I just came across this link on facebook... made me remember my childhood :)

Yep, that is really amazing.
One of my favourites is the U-boat With Dry Dock http://i.imgur.com/ERnSxr4.jpg https://www.flickr.com/photos/51492892@N02/ |
Both of the Lego vessels are amazing. Good job. :Kaleun_Applaud:
Thanks for posting Jim and Meo. |
Yes, very cool stuff. Glad you fellers had your eyes open... did they use any of it in the new Lego's Batman Movie? :03:...
Every once in a while, you think "that'd be a cool job to have..." and then I remember Christmas 2004... never again... I do not have the patience to put much more than a tiny skateboard together, much less an airplane - or a carrier... Even Lincoln Logs stress me anymore... :har: |
Wish I'd had Legos when I was a kid; I did have Lincoln Logs, Tinker-Toys, and some sort of brick building kit whose name I can't remember; didn't have an Erector Set because my mother thought I might injure myself with the steel parts; the irony of the Erector Set situation was I was so good at assembling various things from the Lincoln Logs, etc., my mother would 'volunteer' my services to other people to aid them in assembling bicycles and other metal assemblies, which usually meant I alone did the work while my mother and her friends gossiped. At least, I did develop a knack for sussing out how to assemble and fix a large range of objects. Kids really should have a balance between being immersed in new tech and the opportunity to engage more manual, tactile experiences...

I think my son might have enough LEGO soon for a full-sized aircraft carrier :hmmm:

Some US comedian once said if you really hate someone who happens to have kids, the best revenge is to give their kids specific gifts: if they are little boys, give them starter Lego sets; if they are little girls, give them Barbie starter sets. The resulting whining and demands for all the accessories will drive your enemy to bankruptcy and madness...

Not to mention that Lego is a deadly landmine for anyone with bare feet. Reminds me of an old Polandball comic:

That, plus the grotty routine fingertip search through the contents of the vacuum cleaner
|
...and people often ask me if I regret ever having children... :)

Those are awesome.
Back in the day, my empty telescope box with a lego superstructure and gun turrets made a fine Graf Spee with a few 1/72nd airfix soldiers thrown in for good measure. |
Legos are wasted on the young. :D
|
My only complaint with making boats/ships out of Legos is that they sink. :wah::har:
But I've built several Lego helicopters in the last few years. Now if I only had a place to put them.... They usually end up residing on top of my PC's tower case. Barracuda |

No, they fly just fine... It's the landings that need work!:D Barracuda |
