SH4 won't run
 

Just bought SH4 download from Amazon. Downloaded it. It won't run. I'm using Windows 10. I've tried everything I know. Looks like it's a bust. Any ideas, guys ?

Assuming that your download is not corrupted.
Run your Sh4.exe as an administrator.
And/or
Try running Windows 10 in compatibility mode Windows 7

I've tried everything I know how to do RR. When I go to "Play" it still says it won't run. I'm just out of ideas.

Did you install the DirectX v9 included with the game, or did you do like I've done more than once (:roll:) and think you didn't need it? 'Cause you do... Be sure and install that DirectX. You do not need that online game stuff that I can never remember the name of anymore... Ubi shut down the server for that. Also, be sure any short-cut you use to start the game points to the SH4.EXE file, not the GU.EXE, which is the Game Updater, which doesn't work too well... Did you get the v1.5 U-boats mission, aka: Gold?
