For the love of god someone help before I remove all of my hair...

OK guys.

Computer is an Alienware Area 51, running dual 970s (Yes I've tried running with and without SLI) and Windows 10.

The game installs fine, and loads fine as well.

Once in the game I choose new campaign (single mission is same result)

The game loads, and shows paused, but I can "unpause" by going to the map screen.

At this point, if I go back to first person, I am stuck to the right of the passage way, but can move forward and back to some degree.

When I press SHIFT-U, I move to the command run, and I can now freely move about the sub, but it is as if the game is paused except for me. The play clock shows 1, and I cannot change it either.

I can view external, but everything is frozen, with the exception of my character.

I have tried the DPI scaling fix, tried compatibility.

THIS IS A STEAM VERSION, however I went to the trouble of buying ANOTHER copy outside of steam, and had an identical result...

Very frustrated, any help or ideas are appreciated.

Cheers:k_confused:

It seems like your time compression is broken or something, since the world is frozen and your character is not.
Possible solutions:
- Disable any active mod with JSGME, if you have any.
- Re-install the game
- Set compatibility options to Windows 7
- Try to start the game without the over-mentioned mods.

If time compression is still bugged, you might have a faulty copy of the game. Suggest a complete re-download (it's 4Gb, non that much).
Let us know if it works!

Thanks for the reply

I've now purchased three copies of the game from separate sources, including steam

I have tried installing on different drives, with no mods, same result
