If I want to play operation monsun, is it ok to buy the steam version?

I hate having physical disks everywhere.

Or is the steam version not compatible with operation monsun? Thanks!

So far, I've been able to use mods in all my Steam games. A few tricks.

First, have Steam install games outside your \program files or \program files (x86) folders. Have Steam set up a root directory \SteamGames or something. Put your game files in there.

If you do that you can use mods without any problems whatever.

I have had no problems using mods with JSGME and Steam with SH4. I have SH4 and the Uboat add on from Steam. Both are installed to it's default location, and everything works as it should. My experience anyway.

I am not sure if the Steam's Uboat Add on is compatible with SH4 if it was not purchased from Steam as well. Not sure about that.....

I downloaded Monsun today, I think I may have ran before I could walk.
I downloaded the original version but before I added it to the modes folder I downloaded the update and over-written the files then added it to the mods folder and activated with JSGME but then when selecting the sim crashed.

Before you install and run JSGME, on the steam version of 1.5, you need to run SH4 vanilla.

@Factor, if your reply was for me I'm not on Steam.

My bad, nevermind.
