Veteran's Day

I haven't seen anything yet on here about Veteran's Day, but I want to start a thread and thank all of our Vets here at Subsim whether you served in the US Military or other militaries. Serving your country is a noble thing.

As a cadet in AFROTC, I look forward to doing my part to serve my country but I want to take today and honor those who have served living or dead.

I'd like to thank all the vets who have served this great country, especially in memory of my Grandpa who served in France during the "Great War", the war to end all wars... ee-yeah, right... and for my dad, still living at 90, who served in WWII in the Pacific, and again during the Korean "Conflict". God bless you all, and may God continue to bless this nation.

I found this not long ago, and it's become my favorite reading:

I like that reading, thanks for posting it. The reader having now joined the dead makes it sort of spooky even.
