steam and GX3 mod trouble
I have read on how to install GWX 3.0 Gold but no luck. After downloaded the 7 files, and hitting the exe, it says I must have a clean copy.
I bought sh3 from steam yesterday, and installed, but it's not a clean install? how to make it clean install for GWX 3.0 Gold? error message: 'Modified files were found. must have clean install and 1.4b patch installed'. when trying to install 1.4b patch, error message says , 'silent hunter 3\data\menu\de_menu.txt: unknown version |

copy the silent hunter 3 folder from your steamapps folder to C: or c:\games for example.
If that still doesn't work let me know. I always use the 'GWX3_FullSingleInstall.exe' torrent btw to install gwx3. |

ok. I went to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common and saw Silent Hunter 3. I copied to c:\games.

I'm willing to start from scratch.
1. delete SH3 -program files? 2. download steam version (this will be 3rd time) then what? don't know what SFSF is? do I copy all of SH3 from steamapps to c:\games then run sfsf, whatever that is. then apply/copy GWE 7 files to c:\games\sh3? Location of silent hunter 3 : location of sh3 C:\ program files (x86) \Steam\steamapps\common\silent Hunter 3 Please help P.S. I have windows 10 |
I recently managed to get GWX3 Gold installed with Steam SH3, so I'll try to help you based on what I learned.
