Attacked in august '39, by a polish destroyer in the baltic???

Vanilla install, with GWX3, i did not attack any ship, first career mission to patrol near Hela in the baltic sea.

Dived when i saw the polish destroyer before he saw me at 3000 meters, went to 60 meters while silent running all the time.

Destroyer gets straight at me from 3000 meters, throws depth charges.
Before any declaration of war?

Yup does not square with the record.

Started another career from W'hafen instead of Koenigsberg.
After going home after first career mission in the channel to W'haven, i start a new mission in my trusty IIa boat, and materialize - before Freetown. In 1939, september 10th or so.

I cannot remember whether this has ever happened before to me, in SH3. :hmmm:

Ok something has obviously gone wrong with your game. Are you just using GWX as your only mod?

I used the 1.4b-patched SH3 install with GWX 3 and 11 enabled mods (not East Asia and mediterranean, and no new officers badges), and SH3 commander installed.

When you are in the 7th/13 flotilla at Koenigsberg at your first patrol in a VIIb, you are ordered to patrol AO 98(?), and there are a few target ships flying english colours marked as target ships on the map, which i destroyed. After this i was shot at by my own ships, so went to the open sea while diving. Then the polish destroyer sunk me.

Starting again at W'hafen with a DII my first patrol was successful , bt my second patrol placed me directly before Freetown.

Have deinstalled all and re-installed all new, smae GWX3 and the 8 mods enabled, but without SH3 commander for the time being. Again chose Koenigsberg with a DVII (U 47 lol) and this time did not sink the target ships. All ok now, friendly and the polish destroyer not shooting at me (mid-august 1939).
I take it you should not sink anything before the declaration of war, not even what's marked as "target ships", and it has nothing to do with mods or SH3 commander.

Yeah that might have been the problem regarding the Polish destroyer attacking you. IIRC you aren't actually supposed to sink the target ships.
