How do you make your SH3 immersive?

I may be reposting an already popular topic, but the question is as it stands. What mods, or settings, or custom mods do you use to make SH3 feel "there". I've tried almost all of them, playing around with settings, ajusting sh3.dll file, deleting sections or things in some mods that i don't like, and just basically trying to overhaul it to be the "perfect sim". Then I end up deleting all my works, deleting my voice activiation and commands I spent so much time in, and reinstalling sh3 several times. :dead::o:/\\!!

I've reinstalled SH3 so many times in the past eleven years I've lost count. I think it goes with the territory.

Even, that I modified my game significantly, the most boost for gameplay immersion is the my imagination.
With a set of randomly chosen objectives and a little imagination I play various missions like: minelaying, transport missions, reconnaissance patrols, delivery of agents or saboteurs, hunt enemy submarine, hunt enemy task force, deployment weather buoys, deliver and install weather station, escort German vessel.....etc. And of course, the standard patrols against convoys, and if there happen, the contact keeper through "h.sie fixes".
This does not require many mods. Some immersion and self-enforced, and just needs for, maybe boring sometimes :hmmm:, but realistic patrols.

Hmm, can you create special missions yourself in SH3, like they come with the game under "missions" :hmmm:
