Anybody visiting Calgary....
....in true Canadian fashion, I would like to apologize in advance for the trauma that's surely going to happen once you see our overly aggressive looking police cars and vans.
Hard to believe that folks here in Calgary feel the need to bring it up on social media: http://www.calgarysun.com/2016/08/09...white-cop-cars |

The only trauma police cars give me is when they are behind me with their lights flashing. The color of the car is irrelevant. :O: |

Calgary is one of the cities I'm going to visit if I win big time in Eurojackpot and it's not for the city itself but to see my favorite NHL team play.

Calgary is great, visited a few times, although I always try to sneak in a visit to Banff/Lake Louise/Sunshine village for some of the best skiing in the world!

I'm surprised: I thought the biggest crime in Canada was "insufficient politeness"...
The local police department here, the Los Angeles Police Department, just recently began using SUVs as patrol vehicles; the officers nowadays have to transport so much extra equipment (riot gear, specialized non-lethal weapons, assault rifles, protective gear, etc.) the switch to SUVs was necessary. It is still a bit odd to see the LAPD roll up in cars other than the old Crown Victorias or other large sedans... The Beverly Hills Police Department has some better rides. I have seen both BMW and Mercedes SUVs, in full BHPD markings cruising around Beverly Hills, although it appears they are only used by senior officers/supervisors... <O> |
