SH4 allowed news events to be broadcast around the time of its occurrence.

I copied my radio files from SH4 to SH5.

The music and radio shows (Jack Benny, Fibber McGee, etc) are there and play. However, no news events.

Can news events play in SH5?

It would be great if it did. I would like to have the U-boat sinking reports working again too. But right now my radio is hit or miss when I load the game. Reinstalled three times and still the same thing. Did you save any of the audio stuff from filefront?

As far as I can say, both scripted radio events (that you can hear through your radio together with broadcasted music) and scripted textual messages (reported by the radio operator), work as supposed, but IIRC they have a slightly different format in SH5 than they had in SHIII and IV.
Most radio mods have been converted for SH5. If need be, one might as well use the SHIII-IV versions, but with some tweaks in their cfg/ini files. :salute:

Any suggestions as to how to do this?

Right now I am far from my computer, but you can have a look at any radio mod released for SH5, and at its cfg/ini files. I think some historical radio events are also found in stock files. Getting the correct setting format from there should be quite easy :)
