SH3 doens't work anymore
 

Hi folks,

I've just re-installed SH3 with steam on my computer running with the win xp OS. Before that, SH3 was working very well. But now, when i start a single mission, the game is blocked on "pause". :wah:

I have no mods installed.

What can I do ?

Please, help me !!!! :wah:

Check your time compression settings in ...MyDocuments\SH3\data\cfg\main.cfg

RealTime has to be set to 1

Check the original source of this file in your installation path ...Ubisoft\SilentHunterIII\data\cfg\main.cfg

Again RealTime has to be set to 1

Save and restart your game.

Most of the time you will find that the time compression setting are missing in your MyDocuments\SH3\data\cfg\main.cfg file. Just copy the ones in your Ubisoft\SilentHunterIII\data\cfg\main.cfg and paste them into your MyDocuments\SH3\data\cfg\main.cfg file and save. This should fix you right up.

No! That's not normal. Something is messed up.

It might be advisable to reinstall the game after a clean deinstallation, including deletion/renaming of the SH3 directory in MyDocuments.

If you want to simply try a new main.cfg in the game directory first, copy this into a textfile and rename it main.cfg. Put it in the correct place and restart the game.
