New "Das Boot" sequel coming???

Best news I have heard in a long time when you look at the crap Hollywood is churning out. I have the original series on VHS and DVD and hope the release it in the UK for TV and later DVD:yeah:

confirmed, Bavarian production (original makers) will be making 6x 1 hour episodes, due for release 2018, it will continue on from where the film ended

Don't expect a new "Das Boot" in quality or claustrophobia.
It is said to be more about the French Resistance and the German forces - with some U-Boot action.
The overall situation adapted to our modern occupying forces, claiming to bring a better life - and the resulting resistance.

I just read the news about this new Das Boot miniseries.

Interested to see it, but it sounds like it's going to be made to push a 21st century 'politically-correct agenda' :hmmm: rather than be made to satisfy us WW2 history enthusiasts...
