Modifying career/save game dates: how-to question
 

Say I want to start a career with GWX/SH3C in August, 1939, but not "that" early in 08/39? How do I create/modify a saved game file, exactly? I was hoping to create a career based on one of the fourteen boats first sent on patrol 08/19/1939.

If I understand you correctly you can try this to accomplish your objective:

1. Start a new career in August/1939. (game will start it on 1 August 1939)
2. Take your u-boat out on a short 1-3 day Sea-Trial patrol. (Patrol 1) Then return to base.

3. For Patrol 2, adjust your SH3 Commander settings "days in port" to accommodate a 19 August 1939 departure from port.
