Terribly tragic :nope:

We were listening to it on the news on the way to gaming last night. The Blue Angels' loss of a pilot is tragic, but the Thunderbirds' incident is what I would call minor. Pilot has problem, pilot ejects safely, plane crashes in an unpopulated area. Barely newsworthy.

That's what I thought about both reports.

Sad state of affairs that the loss of several million dollars worth of equipment, and in one case the loss of a person's live combined with the fact that both demonstration teams will be grounded for at least the remaining few airshows this year is considered barely newsworthy.

I agree, whether it be one or as many as those lost on Germanwings Flight 9525 for example or any other flight for that matter, the loss of life or lives is always tragic.

Trouble came to us too - Russian Knights Su-27 crashed this morning. Pilot died trying to avoid nearby village.

Sorry to hear it.
