Submarine book reccomendations

Hi All,

So i'm well into SH5 (TWOS) since I installed it a week or so ago, really impressed with the level of continued interest in this sim, and the massive amount of effort that has gone into developing & improving it... Well done & thank you to all involved

It transports me to a world that absolutely fascinates me... So I started searching for books on the subject... There are a few obvious ones: 'Das Boot', Tom Clancy's: 'Hunt for the Red October'.... Does anyone have any recommendations for other submarine related literature? I am particularly interested in WW2 & the German U-boats.... (obviously because I am playing SH5), but doesn't have to be limited to that.

I want to read something that really gives a good account of what everyday life was like on the submarines, it would also be interesting to read about the running of the boat, and her systems, and hopefully I can relate some of that to my experience in SH5
