Sub Commander doesn't let me do a career!!
 

After getting back into SH3, (worked my way from the worst to the best, 5,4 and now 3)

Installed GWX, and mods

Installed widesreen fix, installed hie.patch, sub commander.

when doing a new career, subcommander says no and back to the desktop I go.
With a single mission, no issue

With no subcommander everything works fine.

A very silly question but did you add the files for Cmdr to work with GWX (assuming it's GWX3)?

haha I said its been a while :) I did not add anything, just sub commander .

I swear, once one thing is fixed its like something else, for over 10 years I've had nothing but problems with mods and SH3.

Either way, that fix for the GWX fixed it, YEAH!! but only one damn mission, once I finish a mission, I exit and edit my crew, restart via sub commander, date and grid patrol is the same, start mission and sure enough @#%@#!% crashes before it starts.

Typical!

I mean seriously wth could it be, its not a mod because it works fine without sub commander.

I removed almost all mods I had and still, boom crash

uninstalled all mods except the supplement to v16b mod. and it worked
the only other conflict I had as you can see is the MaguiF

Is there a certain one I should download with the supplemnent mod?

ill play around with the mods again tonight, but its very strange

this was a brand new installation

No problems with this mega mod.
Countless missions and saves done using OS7 and now OS10.

thats a great mod too, but I personally feel GWX > *

when it comes to mods.

don't get me wrong, in a couple months I will install that when GWX gets old :)

ok so Im still having this issue, and I'm done trying to mess with it.

I downloaded the living mod, I guess they actually redid it and recently (2015)

I will install tonight with a fresh install of SH3.
Any other mods you could recommend with it? what about the merchant ship add on? or WB's desks awash mod?
Thompsons sound mod?

What else can or should I add?

Expirament! That is the only way to get the game to where you want it. Took me awhile, and now I'm happy with my mod list. Haven't changed anything for a long time.

Just understand you will crash your game a few times and reinstall several times until you get it just right!
