Mouse Lag and Low FPS
 

Guys, new here to SH 5 but long time SH 3 and 4 player. Been playing since Silent Service on the NES and Wolfpack, 688 Attack Sub on the PC.

I have recently downloaded SH 5 from Steam but the game is nothing short of awful to play. Mouse lag, very low FPS that is intermittent. I set all graphics to very low and have a low resolution but the game is still unplayable. Any ideas?

Laptop I7 Processor
Intel 3000 Graphics
Windows 10

The laptop is only 2 years old and should handle it. I don't have a lot of setup options for my Intel graphics card though. Any ideas?

The vanilla game is the worst game ever made . Play Wolves of steel mega mod , it is the best sub game / mod ever made imo .
Disable shadows in the game graphics options .

So you're saying I should be able to mod SH5 and it may improve things? I would love to do that but I really need some help. I can't download any mods here (I don't have access) but I would happily donate if I need. I have been playing SH4 today and forgot how much I loved it. I see all kinds of helpful links but honestly just get lost in the information overload.

I have a Raedon R9 290 series graphics card and the game fps is reasonable .

Ram is probably one of the most important things besides the graphics card for performance. The more the better up to a point and, in most laptops, is easy to add and cheap.

I have a Raedon R9 270 series graphics card in my desktop and the game fps is fine.
