Cadillac Ranch is an old Route 66 attraction located west of Amarillo along I-40 it was built as an art project in 1974 (i dont get it) but whether you see the symbolism the artist is trying to convey or not... it is still an interesting road trip landmark which sees thousands of visitors each year

The Big Texan Steakhouse was established in 1960 on Route 66, but relocated once route 66 was decommissioned, the building and decor is known for its bright wild colors, but is best known for its 72 ounce steak challenge wherein the patron can attempt to eat a salad, dinner roll, baked potato, shrimp cocktail and a 72 ounce steak, if successful the meal is free

Nice pictures.
I'm sure Jim would be up to the 72 ounce challenge if it included free beer as well.:D

LOL yes it is!

of course as you advance eastward its pretty stunning how suddenly it goes from steppe-like to lush forest & grassland - of course most of East Texas is under several inches of water right now so it will be green for a while!

It is my understanding that Palo Duro Canyon is the second largest canyon in the United States, next to the Grand Canyon.
