Thread tag abuse

Ok, I know it's hilarious to delete useful tags and add har-har tags, but that defeats the purpose of tags. Thread tagging is a system that allows user to apply their own keywords (tags) to threads. This can allow users to categorize threads based on the actual content. As such, if used consistently, this could be a better way to find a specific topic than a full-text search. I would love it if tags were used frequently in quality threads so searching would be easier down the road. Can I ask that we try and put the jokes in the posts and not the tags?

thanks
Neal

Wait... I get the humour tags, but deleting the useful ones? Who would do that?

Yeah Neal I agree and just as annoying as those who are repeatedly deleting posts....makes the boards look a tad untidy in my estimation.

Hence the two lines above my sig.

Members can only delete tags they've added.

That's true. So as far as tags being deleted, maybe I am mistaken. It seemed like I noticed some real tags disappearing, maybe not.

Touché good sir.
Maybe we could play dodge ball instead?

I'm not sure what all this means... does it mean I am infringing by using my favourite catchphrases, like "crazy baldhead"?
