What is the steam version of the game?
 

:hmmm: Im confused...Is silent hunter 5 gold considered a steam version since the only way you can get it is through download?? Or is steam some other version?? Reason I ask is because I have it installed by download and I've been reading that steam doesn't handle mods very well so if this is the steam version then I want to get rid of it and play off my dvd rom. Not sure if that's the right decision. I would like more advice before I make a move ..which is better to mod sh5 gold by download or sh5 dvd rom??

don't buy a steam version of SH5 buy a download version or DVD from amazon for 5$ u no need to have the game in your DVD-rom to play it ......

SH5 is unplayable without mods, steam version is incompatible with mods.
