For 'Crash Dive' I would recommend setting up a hotkey in TDW's Options File Editor Viewer.
I use the 'X' key as it is easy to find, when every second counts. Peter |
Yep, as you wish :) i got used to default since i like that with shift you have everything on the same keys but more intensive :)

This could be useful thread indeed...The way to go also would be to edit stock F1 helping screen available in the game...:yep:

Something like this...:yep:

That'd be awesome Vecko!

Ahead Slow in seems to me to be a bit fast at nearly 7 knots.
One way to get around this is to setup a hotkey using TDW's Option File Editor Viewer > Fuel Tab The default setting around 7.5 knots is pretty close to Ahead Slow. Using a hotkey for example like 'U' this can then be used to customize a slower knot speed. It could even be set at 1 knot for escaping DD's after a torpedo attack as an extreme example. Used with the '@' key for 'All Stop' this give you 2 keys for creeping slowly away using start and stop. Peter |

6-7.5 knots depending of sub weight (patrol start/end), to be exact...I took these data from type VII technical documentation...:yep: |
This will probably be the final version. All main key commands are there, except few special commands which can be seen/set via OFEV...:yep:

I cannot get the sub to stop! Or use the external cameras other than F2 I have also used the options file editor/viewer to map a key to crashdive and have set it to Crash dive True,MenuKeyManagerWrapper.Keys.P,True,False,False ,False Hotkey for crash dive So I think I have enabled it and set it to Shift P. Saved it in Option File Editor and restarted the game, but it doesnt work. Do I have to do something with JSGME? |
DO NOT use the F7 Battle Station key when the Deck Gun needs to be manned by the crew or yourself.
The Deck gun will remain in the position it was last firing in even if you manually try to change it. Use the Battle Station icon from the Watch Officer. When the Watch Officer Battle Station Icon is turned off the Deck Gun will always return to its correct starting position. Peter |
