(Finns)"Jatkosota - Kronikka", anyone own the book?
 

Any of our resident Finns own "Jatkosota - Kronikka"?

I'd be interested to learn, if it is a day by day account of the war like "Talvisota - Kronikka"? I see the page number is the same (208 pages)? :hmmm:

To answer my own question and thus provide information for anyone who had the same question:

Bought an used copy of the book (12€, good quality). It does not offer a day to day account, but nearly. Some days are skipped, guess because of not much happening. Covers also, in a general way, the Lappland war.

I shall also write a short summary in Finnish, as I could not find any information on the contents of the book via google, so it might help other Finns looking for info.

Strange language portion starts here. (Reading it might cause increased alcohol consumption and spontaneous yells of "PERKELE!" in non-Finns)


Jatkosota Kronikka ei ole samaan tapaan kirjoitettu kuin Talvisota Kronikka,
eli päivä päivältä, mutta antaa silti hyvän kuvan sodan tapahtumista lähes
päivä päivältä. Yleensä päivä tai pari on jätetty pois välistä, jos jotain
kummempaa ei ole sattunut. Aukeaman ulkoasu on sama, sivun reunassa
kerrotaan lyhyesti päivien tapahtumat, joista muutamista kerrotaan
enemmän isommassa osiossa ko. aukeamalla. Paljon kuvia ja karttoja.
Kattaa myös Lapin Sodan suurpiirteittäin.
