Understanding Radio Meassages
 
Hi guys new guy here .

Can anyone explain what the radio messages mean is respect to the map grid

Ie - Convoy sighted AL1353 ESE

what section of the map is that ? obiously section AL but what part of AL

also got a message to relieve U123 and send beacon signals ? what do these mean ?

That should be around the middle of AL13.

I belive that HQ is telling you to shadow a convoy that U-123 was shadowing. Beacon signals refers, I believe, to a signal you transmit to allow other U-boats to find you.
