Damn ASDIC
 

So im using OHII mod and its currently may 1941.

Spotted a task force of 4 destroyers and hence i immediately dived to 150m while travelling at 2 knots.

Problem is, i noticed on my map that the destroyers have now seem to have detected me. In fact, for the next 6-12 hrs they constantly move and circle around in the same direction as im heading. -___-

So i wonder - how deep is enough to avoid ASDIC? 0.o Weird thing is that the destroyers escorting convoys cant even detect me at 50m but the ones in the task force can do so at 150m.

Eventually, i escaped by waiting for nightfall and then running at emergency speed on the surface. The destroyers kept themselves to 15 knots at most while trying to search for me and hence i could outrun them. :P

While you were underwater, did the destroyers ever pass directly over you?

Also, what was your engine speed?

No, but whenever i changed direction, they followed suit and were constantly around 9 km away from me.

I travelled at 2 knots all the time underwater.

This is a stock game bug. To fix, save and reload:up:

Oh i am using OHII btw.

But if thats really the case then thanks i will take that in mind :D

Just wait until that one destroyer does nothing but circle in reverse or chase you reverse.
