Survivor Icon Always Shaded
 

In my 3 year campaign I have neverbeen able to pick up survivors. What's up with that?

Were you assigned the mission?

1. It didn't happen that often in RL. Submarines don't have much room to spare for that sort of thing.

2. It would only be in the game, if Ubisoft deliberately put the necessary mechanisms in the game.

Yes. I only play careers....so every mission is assigned.

maybe it is a problem with the depth. Try play with it. I heard this game was pretty wonky when released so I dont believe ubi would bother fixing that kind of stuff.

Found the answer. You have to go on deck and look at the guy with the binoculars then press the rescue button.

Yes Dashyr is right. You spot the red flares and set a course in that direction. It takes a long time to get there. As Dashyr said you must be on deck with binoculars. when you get close you have to slow down to 1 knot and maybe even cut the engines and drift in a life preserver icon will light up click it and presto

Hmmm.....we have pulled up right next to lifeboats and viewed them in binoculars too....will experiment with this some more....thanks!
