Found a nice hunting ground- with air support!
 

Using the GWX3 expansion set- (OMG the eye candy!!!):D, and have found that the area just north of Calais , AN79, AN76, AN84, will have a 'Task Force' appear every few days- it is actually a two lane convoy with fairly light escort. After reporting the convoy to BdU, Luftwaffe bombers will appear in strength a couple of hours later. They saved my bacon when they blew up the escorts hunting me.
Best sub is the VII/C as the IX types are too unwieldy for the shallow waters

Yes, just south of Dover.

At least the Type IX has a healthy supply of torpedoes to go after those convoys. ;)
