Star Trek was never a kiddie show, ever. You must be confusing it with Lost in Space which was a kiddie show.

Cool! It's a pitty this show had some troubles and lost some episodes. I wanted to see the one about the academy years of Kirk.

Less than five seconds in I hit the close button. Dreadful and painful to watch any more.

Well written. Not excellent, but they did a nice job tying something to Wrath of Khan and Search for Spock.
