Dale Griffin, the drummer for Mott the Hopple has passed away. The band itself had had a connection with David Bowie as well.

Past members included Mick Ralphs who got together with vocalist Paul Rodgers and drummer Simon Kirke of the band free and bassist Boz Burrell from King Crimson to form the band Bad Company.

Ironically, it was 42 years ago today that Bad Company came to be . Sadly, Boz Burrell passed away September 21, 2006 .
