TriggerMaru 1.9 for SH 1.5 Only?
 

Hey guys,

Been away from SH4 for a few years. I used TM 1.7.6 the last time I had SH loaded. I patched to SH 1.5 back then but then got away from the game.

Problem: all my SH stuff is archived on a backup tape and I'll have to install the old Sony AIT-2turbo drive to retrieve everything. I really don't want to do that. Soooo....

I bought SH Gold (new copy) off eBay and it'll be here next week. In the meantime I've installed SH 1.4 on my new system and was trying to find a copy of TM 1.7.6 - no luck. However, on SubSim, under the SH 4 downloads I found a copy of TM 1.9 and tried to install it (GameModInstaller, of course) but when starting up, SH 1.4 is missing hundreds of files, mainly .tga.

Unfortunately the SH 1.4 download section is full of 1.5 updates and files, so it's really hard to keep everything straight.

Am I correct - Trigger Maru 1.9 is for SH 1.5 only?

ps - I was very glad to see this forum was still up and going. SH is still the best Sub Sim ever done...

I believe TMO 1.9 is for SH v5 only.

Yeah, I think so. It's hard to remember after all these 6 years or so!

I did find TMO 1.4 in the downloads. It's pretty nice, except I can't even dive a Balao below 400 feet without a pressure hull failure.

Oh well. I've got to go out of town in the morning for three days. By then I should have the SH 4 Gold copy and I'll just install TMO 2.5.

Yes, from his TMO 1.7 PDF in the TMO 1.9 release Support folder:
I bolded ' the latest version of SH4 available to you is version 1.4' above.

I suggest you get SH4 1.5 again (or Gold). Many improvements over SH4 1.4 on the fleet boat side too.
