Who would have thought that this could happen.

Edit it was not the new Burj-something, the world highest building, which I thought it was in the beginning.

Safety codes in construction is....well...let's say that the concept is acknowledged in Dubai and declared Haram.
Those buildings were made by poor South East and East Asians, with wages close to slavery and safety conditions that would make a Victorian coal miner weep. That one goes up in smoke, well I am not entirely surprised.

If it was in China the contractor would commit suicide before being executed. I love how they blame from the top there unlike Murica.

And still the firework event went ahead not too far away!

Most importantlt, no deaths reported thus far.
