There is something about windows 10 that don't like games. |
The trick with anything Windows Vista or "above" is to install in a separate root directory C:\games, not C:\Program Files x86, which is a protected directory subject to all manner of UAC nonsense that protects nobody but inconveniences everybody. Once you get it out of a UAC "protected" (but not protected at all) directory, mod installation will work.
I think you'll find once you do that, and one other adjustment necessary only in Windows 10 that I don't know about, (I'll never use Windows 10. I already have a cell phone) you'll be fine. |

Silent Hunter 5 Battle of the Atlantic, has not gone in the same folder. C:/Ubisoft and yet, I'm having problems getting the mods to activate. I was thinking that perhaps I could install SH4 in the same Ubisoft folder. And hoping I could activate the mods via JSGME. I'm very frustrated with the experience I have had with Win 10 and SH5. And I'm hoping I don't have the same with SH4. And from what I've read, I'm very scared to even try SH3 (GWX 3.0) from what I've read even though I love the SH games! Just hoping you guys could point me in a direction I haven't tried yet. |
