Me too I know it from the original series but can't remember which episode or season.

One race is black on the right side of the face and the other is black in the left side.

It was Frank Gorshin, talented comic actor who was famous for playing The Riddler in the Batman series. That said, I too cannot give the season or episode title without looking it up.
