Gabrele Ferzetti has passed away
 

at the ripe old age of 90.

who you may ask? Ferzetti had a long career in Italian cinema, but is best known in the west for key roles in classic 60's movies

Fascinating. Sad, but good to know, and he had a good long life.

Mine too, just because it was one of the more faithful adaptations (and Diana Rigg doesn't hurt either).

Near the top of my list as well.

I had no clue what had happened to him since that time. Thanks for the update.

He enjoyed a long and successful career, I remember him playing Field Marshal Wilhelm Keitel in the movie Hitler: The Last Ten Days amongst others.

I saw him in "I am Love", a 2009 Italian movie starring Tilda Swinton. He only had a few scenes and a few lines, but there he was still going strong at 84, older, but with the same intensity.

I am pretty sure everyone in our age group had a crush on Diana Rigg at one time, I know I did.

I watched part of "On Her Majesty's Secret Service" last night (in honour of mr. Ferzetti's passing). Diana Rigg was so hot in that movie. :arrgh!:

"On Her Majesty's Secret Service" was one of my all time favorite Bond movies. Too bad tho that Diana Rigg took one to the noggin. She was hot in that movie, and especially so as Emma Peel. I too had a crush on her.
