Here's a project for a coder with time.

SH3 Does not use Dynamic Shadows. (It can but they are all fubared)
Write a simple program to remove all the 3D objects and related stuff in the dats.
The program needs to scan all dats on a single run.

I'm not gonna even guesstimate how much data that is not used by SH3 could be removed.
:o

But is there really no chance to have dynamic shadows in game by changing the exe file ? Fader_Berg might write new code for this ? ... :hmm2:

I did this manually, some time ago.
Not so time consuming, three hours or something, distributed in two or three days.

If you don't use this feature it does not mean that others do not want to have her.
I never welcome those works, which lead to the degradation of the games... eg Frozen Eyes in SH4.

P.S. ... at least on AI ships exactly don't need remove the shadows.

Regards, Alex. :D

They used to be a mod that gave great shadows and reflections for SH3. I used to use it back a few years ago before I lost a HDD with all the older mods on it. I know some of you should remember it. I'll look and see if I have it saved on a dvd somewhere.

I am most certainly an idiot, so here is my question. Would it be possible to use an enb with sh3?

Anvart 11-14-15 11:07 PM

Do you mean SweetFX and shadow?
Yes.
You must have:
a) edited SH3Controllers.act from SH3 ver. 1.0
b) tuned on DynamicShadows=Yes in Main.cfg in two places: in Game folder and in My Documents folder.
