Maureen O'Hara, Classic Film Great, Passes Away at Age 95

Maureen O'Hara, the great redheaded actress and classic movie beauty, has passed away at age 95:

She graced the screen alongside many of the top Hollywood leading men and she was often even more attention getting and skilled than some of the top billed actors. She was always her own person and fiercely protective of her individuality. She will be missed both as an actor and as a person...

What genes even at 94 and lookin' sharp! at the 2014 film festival: and an honorary Oscar to ('1991 Golden') boot.https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikiped...7Hara_2014.jpgJohn Wayne always said 'the Quiet Man' was his favorite movie; I wonder why... A reel family affair: Charles Fitzsimons and James Fitzsimons were Maureen O'Hara's real life younger brothers. In this film, James was billed as James Lilburn, though he was later better known as James O'Hara. Barry Fitzgerald and Arthur Shields were also brothers in real life, and Francis Ford was John Ford's elder brother. Ken Curtis, later of Gunsmoke fame and newly married to John Ford's daughter Barbara, has a small role as Fahy, the village accordion player.
Wayne brought his four children along on location, and Ford gave them parts in the important race scene in the film.

I remember her from various movies but Miracle on 34th street remain one of my favorites that she acted in.

Rest in Peace Ms. Fitzsimons

Yeah, somehow having a big butt and a scowling, howling rapper demanding the world acknowledge your greatness just doesn't measure up to the well-earned and much-deserved respect given to the truly great stars of O'Hara's era...
