Game Modders' Help, Please.

I am currently working on further mod's to The Dark Wolf's amazing U Guns V5. I am attempting to improve the flak gunners' chances of downing aircraft when the sub' is on the surface (when using U Guns). Everything seems to be going well except for The Sunderland MkIII and the Hudson aircraft.

Sunderland: When she has taken a few hits, suddenly the wings, small rear wings and movable turrets disappear and the Sunderland just floats down in a perfectly horizontal pitch. (Open link below to see image of downed Sunderland)

Hudson: I have also seen a problem with the Hudson aircraft. Sometimes, when downed, the port wing is blown off but the port decal remains in position. However, although the starboard wing remains, the starboard decal disappears. (Here is the link to an image).

I am using Silent 3ditor but I am not sure which of the Sunderland/Hudson files to look at in order to correct this problem. Originally, I thought it may be the "collisionable object settings" in the "Sunderland/Hudson.zon" file but I am not having any luck there.

Can anyone guide me to the file/portion of the file that is responsible for controlling the break up of the aircaft? Or has anyone already got a fix for this?I should add that I have not made any changes to these aircraft files and wonder if this is a bug from the original (vanilla) "Air" folder.

Many thanks.

Bump.

Sounds and looks like a damaged zone or missing connected 3D part to me.

Are you using a stock SH3 install?
And a link to the Dark Wolf's U Guns V5 would help.

Version

No, the version is the stock + 1.4 patch + GWX 3.0. Here is the link to U Guns version 5. http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/down...o=file&id=4170

I'll confirm the Markings on the left and right wings are attached to the wrong parent in the dat file.
That would cause the rondals issue you reported.
I'll issue a reprimand to all GWX testers for missing this.
:D

BAD TESTERS!!! BAD BAD BAD!!!
:haha:

Does this happen for all running GWX 3.0? I have it installed with SH3 but I haven't gotten that far to see if it happens. I'm just getting mods installed and going thru the Academy. :D

And no U Guns version 5 mod installed yet.

Boy you don't realize how much you've forgotten until you reinstall and try to run SH3 again.

Jeff-Groves 11-16-15 08:21 PM

Yes it does.
Those 2 Aircraft have the same issue for the wrong winged rondals.
I'm still looking at the zone for the floating down issue reported.

I use to be much quicker at solving issues like this but Real Life is a beatch right now.
:03:

Plus traveling around the world and beating testers who failed their jobs eats a lot of time!
:haha:

All that is needed is to change the parent of the rondals.
S3D will do that quickly.
I could do it and issue an Official GWX fix if Jimbuna approves it.
He's still the Chief of the Boat.

Whatever you do, do not shoot down a 109:

What happened to German engineering?
