They are usually stored outside the game folder itself. Try looking in your documents folder from the Windows start button. You should find a folder called SH4. At least that's where they are on my system.

The path on my Windows 7 machine is C:\Users\"Username"\Documents\SH4\data\cfg

Saved Games Folders

There are 2 folders for saved games in the Win7 path provided by SOFLCS. One is called "RichSavedGames" and the other is "SaveGames". I'm not sure about why there are two, or which one might be the "real" one, so I always clear both when I want to start a clean career. I leave the other folders intact, and thus do not have to change my settings for a new career. Hope this helps. :salute:

Addendum

The "Rich Saved Games" folder contains the text names that one enters when creating a save file.

The "Saved Games" folder contains the detailed saves using the games own numbering system.
