Binocular
When I sail "decks awash" I can't use my binocular(everyone on the bridge).:hmmm:
Is it normal in WOS? Henny |
Hi hcs
Yes, that is quite normal when at decks awash. Peter |
Very strange when everyone is on the bridge.

Hi hcs
You have to put it into the game context rather than reality. The temptation to constantly over use decks awash rather than being fully surfaced is the reason. If the need to use the binoculars occurs then you have to be fully surfaced. Peter |
I am not sure of this but I think I once read that when you are decks awash your crew will not spot contacts as well...can somebody confirm this? To be honest i think that the crew not spotting contacts is penalty enough. I would really like to have use of binoculars.

when u are "decks awash" the game take it as submerge and that's why u can not use the binocular and there is no fix for that atm.... maybe 1 day when tdw will be back can make a fix

If the crew is on the bridge then they should function as normal. Steve |

Except that the crew's visual range should be reduced proportional to their decrease in height above surface. (is it already? I'd really like to know) |
I think crew range for sighting needs to be reduced anyway.
In SH3 I could see things before the crew. In SH5, they can see things at like 15-20km out that I cannot see at all with the binos. Steve |

Speed will be reduced for same RPM settings... Quote:
So I must ask you one more time what is so wrong with crew ability to report smoke on the horizon 20km away on a clear sunny day??? Just don't answer me please "It was like that in SH3" because that doesn't mean that is necessarily correct... I agree that player visual range does not match AI visual range in certain weather conditions but that is minor issue if contact is already reported. This issue (if issue at all) Sober's trying to solve for ages now, unfortunately without major success... |
